Kubota B26

The Kubota B26 is a dedicated tractor loader backhoe, that is built upon the foundations of the world renowned Kubota B series, compact tractors.

There are a number of similarities to the B series range, but the Kubota B26 comes with a number of adjustments that make it stand out as a TLB in its own right.

One advantage of this, is that people who want to move up a level from a standard  Kubota B series tractor will find a considerable ease of adaptation, both in terms of the use of the tractor, and its mechanica land technical upkeep

The Kubota B26 was first manufactured in 2007, and is still manufactured today in record numbers. This means that there are a huge number of new and used tractors available, as far as part, appliances, manuals and advice apply.

The Kubota B26 has a Kubota engine, 1.1 L three cylinder diesel, with a fuel capacity of 8 gallons. It has a three-point hitch with a rear lift of just over 1500 lbs.

It has a rear independent PTO, a rear RPM of 540, a wheelbase of just over 60 inches and a dig depth of just under 100 inches.

The Kubota B26 as a 4×4 four-wheel-drive chassis, a rear standard differential lock, has a hydrostatic power steering system and a wet disc braking system.

There is a four post ROPS with a FOPS roof as standard. This is especially useful as the Kubota B26 it is designed to be used in industrial settings, where they may be well be falling objects, and this provides additional protection in the way that a standard compact tractor would not.

Sites such as craigslist are not always immediately associated with tractors, but they are in fact a very solid base from which to buy a used Kubota B26. The same rules apply when buying a used tractor as  when buying any use or second-hand car automobile. In the main, attention should be paid to the history of the tractor, where it was originally bought and when it was originally manufactured. Also what type of land it has been used upon and for what type of work.

The other main advantage of using craigslist to buy a Kubota B26 is that one can easily segregate areas of the country before deciding whether or not to look for a used tractor. This can make visiting the purchaser or obtaining some type of visual image much easier.

When the Kubota B26 was first introduced, it had a standard manufacturers retail price of around US $ 33,000. Today that price for a new Kubota  is more likely to be nearer US$50,000.

Bear in mind that these are manufacturer prices, and should be able to be negotiated downwards quite significantly. There are also for new tractors, and given the cost, they will be viable to buy a good used Kubota.

When looking at buying a new Kubota B26, aside from being open to negotiating the list price, other factors should be taken into account, such as credit options, warranties, servicing and maintenance deals and any special offers that the dealership  or Kubota, nationally, might be willing to offer.

It is worth thinking along similar lines to buying a new auto, but there are many similarities. Some dealerships will also offer rentals, which might be useful for specific or one of jobs.

A review of the Kubota B26 should really focus on two main areas.

Firstly there are a number of reviews on YouTube, mainly posted by dealerships, which show off the Kubota  tractors and point out its main uses and strong advantages over the competition. Whilst there is obviously a sales pitch going on to a point, it is nevertheless a good showing of what the tractor can do and its main strengths.

The second area for reviews is really discussion groups, like tractor by net, which has a significant base of kubota users, who tend to be both loyal and critical at the  same time. this means that they will normally offer good advice, based on their experience, which should both be able to inform and advise any potential purchaser.

The main attachments for a Kubota are the leader and backhoe.

The loader has a weight of approximately just over 600 lbs, a height of just over 90 inches, a clearance of the dumped buckets of 70 inches, a dump reach of just over 20 inches, a dump angle of 45° and has a two lever quick coupler attachment system.

The backhoe has a  leaking depth of roughly 100 inches, a leading height of just under 80 inches, a bucket force of just over 4000 lbs, and a deeper stick force of just over 2000 lbs.
