Kubota BX2200 : Specs, Parts, Attachments, Reviews

Kubota BX2200

The Kubota BX2200 is undoubtedly one of Kubota’s oldest tractors, but was well received at the time of production, proved itself a very effective compact tractor, and still has a large following in the second-hand market.

Used tractors, if bought wisely, prove themselves to be a little by way of trusted experience, as long as sufficient parts, manuals and advice available, which all old Kubota tractors tends to be the case.

This tractor has proved itself over the years to be a perfect all-rounder for all types of smallholding work. This can include large includes garden, small rural farms, small businesses such as garden centres and all types of small agricultural holdings.

Although a sub compact tractor, it offers great power and is very versatile by way of its power output and its attachments or implements, and how it manages to combine the two effectively.

It can handle demanding tasks with relative ease, and within limits can deal with most farm work requirements. It is a compact or relatively small design, which in many ways is Kubota’s trademark and strength.

The Kubota BX2200 benefits from a standard Kubota engine and transmission and hydraulic system. This has proved itself over time to be an efficient and powerful engine and power system, whilst at the same time being relatively fuel efficient.

For some people, there’s also a certain nostalgia about tractors of this nature, which can have a slightly more rugged feel than perhaps some of the new ones. This should not detract from the fact that it can be used for long periods of time with relative ease and comfort, as it has always been a hallmark of the way Kubota have designed and built their tractors

Kubota BX2200 – craigslist

When buying a tractor of this age, one of the most important things is the locality from where it is being sold. This is more a practical point than anything else. Craigslist, along with some other sites allow users to search listings by a specific geographical area, which can make ease of purchase much simpler.

When buying a used Kubota BX2200 it is worth thinking about it in the same way as when purchasing a second-hand auto or truck. With a tractor, it is a good idea if possible to find out the number of hours has been used for, although retractors of this age that can prove quite difficult, and is quite often dependent upon theword of the Seller

The other thing that is important, is to assess its mechanical condition, to check the availability of parts, to check what type of work it has been used for, to check the type of land it has been used on and check its servicing and maintenance records

Kubota BX2200 parts

Parts for the Kubota BX2200 should be relatively easy to get hold of, although sometimes a bit of detailed research is necessary first. Quite often is that parts are lifted from older tractors, although this can be problematic for fairly obvious reasons.

It may well be possible to obtain parts from a dealership, although commonly they are quite often sourced from a number of different online websites. They can either be genuine manufacturers parts, or perfectly good aftermarket parts.

The only point to watch out for when using aftermarket parts is that it can sometimes affect the warranty of a tractor, although that is unlikely to be a factor in by a tractor of this age. Most sales will be done privately by individuals, rather than through a dealership where a warranty might be an expectation as part of the sale.

When purchasing parts, it is really important to specify the part number, as these can be quite similar in terms of design and shape, but may not necessarily fit the appropriate tractor.

Listed below are some of the most common areas of the mechanical base of the tractor parts and maintenance need to be addressed over time..

Kubota BX23S : Specs, Parts, Attachments, Reviews

Kubota BX23S

The Kubota BX23S is one of the smallest but most powerful compact tractors made by Kubota, and is a backhoe loader tractor that can also have a mowing deck attached, as well as many other implements.

This makes it one of the most innovative and sought after machines in its class, and provides an affordable and versatile tractor that can be used for a wide variety of different tasks, both industrial and residential.

Kubota has developed their own systems for connecting the backhoe and front loader, which are known as the Swift-Connec tand the Swift-Tech systems.

These make the attching and detaching incredibly simple and easy to do, as well as being very quick when understood. This can have a real impact at a practical level and is one of their key selling points for the tractor.

Kubota BX23S for sale / price

The Kubota BX23S was first launched in 2017, with a price tag of around US dollars 20,000. Its list price in 2020 is more likely to be around US$25/26,000

There is always a caveat around list price, as a customer should be able to significantly reduce this by negotiating the price directly, as well as any other inducements that Kubota or the dealership may offer.

There are also a significant number of used Kubota BX23S available at different prices. A recent listing on TractorHouse had a 2018 Kubota BX23S for sale at US dollars 16,900 and hours listed as 168.

There was a similar listing for a 2019 Kubota BX23S with a price tag of US dollars 21,700, but with hours listed only as 2.

It is worth mentioning in relation to hours that the sometimes determine the initial price asked for.

aNumber of hours can in fact be slightly misleading, in that a better guide is the type of work it has been used for, and the type of land it has been used on. This information is best obtained from the previous owner if possible.

Kubota BX23S  attachments

The Kubota BX23S  attachments are primarily a loader, a backhoe and a mowing deck.

There are two loader types :

The first loader is a kubota LA340, with a height of just over 70 inches, a clearance of just over 50 inches, a damp reach of just over 25 inches and a dump angle of 45°.

The second loader is a Kubota LA 340S, with a height of just over 70 inches, a clearance of just over 50 inches, a dump reach of just over 25 inches and a dump angle of 45°. The bucket which is approximately 45/50 inches.

The backhoe is a Kubota BT603, with a weight of approximately 600 lbs, a digging depth of just over 70 inches, and a loading height of approximately 60 inches. The bucket rotation is 180°.

The Kubota BX23S can have one of two mower decks attached, one with a cutting width of 54 inches, and the other with a cutting width of 60 inches. Both can be easily attached and detached, and are easy for anyone to use.

Other attachments quite often include items such as auxiliary hydraulics, lawn pluggers and aerators, rotary cutters, box scrapers, rotary tillers, cultivators and pallett forks.

Kubota BX23S  review

There are many reviews of the Kubota BX23S online, and it is normally fairly obvious which are sales promotions by dealerships, and which are genuine reviews by customers. Dealerships use videos to promote this tractor and its variety of uses.

This can be really useful in getting an overview of the tractor at its best, and at the same time should be tempered by a realistic assessment of what it can and cannot do, and any practical issues that numerous users will have encountered  once  purchased.

The value of a video review is really in showing the individual pictures of what the character is really like, and what its various components such as the cabin, the instrument layout and how the various attachments work.

The other place to get really good information is on one of the numerous discussion groups, such as tractor by net, which has a wealth of information that is normally fairly impartial and objective, yet posted by people who are real enthusiasts. The source of information can be invaluable both as a resource, and as an opportunity to ask any questions needed

Kubota BX23S  manuals

Having a manual is crucial for both safe operation of the tractor, and for knowing and following best practice in servicing and maintenance.

Manuals are easily available online and through dealerships, either as a free download or as a charged copy. There are a number of independent websites who carry manuals, however, with a tractor such as this one, Kubota BX23S, it is likely more easy to find a free download, often from one of the national kubota sites  themselves.

Kubota BX25 – Prices, Specs, Reviews, Where to Buy …

The Kubota BX 25 is one of the most popular subcompact tractors in North America. It was reasonably priced compared to similar tractors by other manufacturers, has the benefit of a world-renowned Kubota engine and has a fully integrated backhoe and front loader as standard.

Kubota has a wide range of dealerships that can offer good deals on new and used tractors, and can be relied upon to provide a high standard of service both before and after sale.

When considering whether to buy a used Kubota BX 25, it is important not only to look at the price, but to look at what type of work the tractor has been used for, and what type of ground it has been used upon.

Kubota BX 25 Price

The Kubota BX 25 and the BX 25D were produced between 2009 and 2014 as part of the popular BX range. The price at the time was around US$19,000, although buying one second-hand in 2020 is a different issue altogether.

When looking at the price for a used Kubota BX 25, it is worth thinking in similar terms to buying a second-hand car, although it is a bit easier in many ways. It is easy to check the availability and price, best done on sites such as eBay and other auction sites. This should give you a better sense of what people are willing to pay for them, and a good idea of the range of ages and types of tractor available.

When considering price, it is important to remember that if buying from a dealership the price is likely to be slightly higher than if buying privately. The benefit of this is that the dealership may offer some type of warranty, some type of deal on servicing and maintenance including transport of the tractor, and may have some idea of the history of the tractor if they sold it originally. The value of this is that they may know the type of work and the type of ground that thetractor has been involved in.

Kubota BX25 Tractor Loader backhoe

The Kubota BX 25 comes with a backhoe and front loader as standard. The loader type is a Kubota LA 240, has a height of 71 inches, has a clearance dump bucket of 52 inches, a dump reach of 26 inches a dump angle of 45°, a rollback angle of 29°, a breakout force of 992lbs, and a bucket width of 48 inches.

These attachments and implements allow the Kubota BX 25 to do a wide variety of different tasks. The Kubota BX 25 uses a Kubota swift connect mounting system for the attachment and detachment of the backhoe. This is designed to be both easy and safe, and allow for maximum ease of use for the driver of tractor

Kubota specs – hydraulic fluid change, weight, accessories, oil filter life

The specifications of the Kubota BX 25 are fairly impressive. It has a Kubota engine of 0.9 L, three cylinder diesel engine, and a fuel capacity of just over 6 1/2 gallons.

It has a rate hike three-point hitch position control, a rear independent PTO and a rear RPM of 540.

It weighs approximately a bit over 2500lbs, and the backhoe loader has a big depth of just over 70 inches and a dump angle of 45 inches.

In terms of Kubota BX 25 power, it has an engine of just over 20 hp and a PTO of just over 15 hp. It has hydrostatic power steering, wet disc braking system and a cab is a foldable ROPS, with the option of a canopy.

The hydraulics are an open center type, with a total flow of six gpm.

Kubota BX25 Mower Deck

As part of its being a versatile tractor, the Kubota BX 25 can also be used as a mower deck. Depending upon which model is being used, it has a cutting width of between approximately 50 and 60 inches and the deck type is either drive over, deep or tunnel.

As with any type of mower deck, safety is hugely important. There is sometimes a tendency to think that compact tractors or mower decks can be used by people of an age who are not really sufficiently mature to use them. Safety needs to be paramount when using any type of tractor, both in terms of the age and experience of the person driving it, and the environment within which is being used.

When using the Kubota BX 25 as a mower deck, it is important to recognise that there are no other people or animals or pets in the area around it, that could possibly be harmed by its usage. It is also important to check the ground to make sure there is nothing of a hazardous nature that could damage the tractor.

It should be remembered that when using the Kubota BX 25 as a mower deck, if it sustained any damage as a result of rocks or other types of material, it would cease functioning completely as a tractor, and render the use of the backhoe and loader impossible until it is repaired.

Kubota BX Snow blower

The Kubota BX 25 can easily be turned into one of the most effective snow blower machines available. Taking off the front loader and replacing it with the Kubota snowblower attachment is the most effective way of using the tractor to clear snow.

The snowblower attachment is approximately 50 inches wide, and churns through snow at an amazing speed, discharging it through a chute, like many specific snowblower machines do.

Some users have advocated keeping the backhoe on the tractor at the same time. It can give a degree of stability to the tractor when it is piling through huge volumes of snow.

It can also be advisable to use industrial tires which can provide extra traction, and also to use snow chains on both front and back tires if possible.

There is some dispute as to whether snow chains should be on both front and back tires or on one set only. The argument is that if they are on both sets it can affect the traction of the tractor and causes damage unnecessarily

Kubota BX 25 Reviews

When looking for reviews of the Kubota BX 25 there are several things to bear in mind. There will be videos available on You Tube and other channels that show off this tractor in its best light. That is a good thing in many ways, but it should be remembered that these are normally not objective reviews. They are normally promoted by dealerships and other sellers of the tractor. They can give a good insight into the tractor at its best.

It is also important to get a reality check on the tractor. Going to any discussion site such as tractor by net, and doing a search for the Kubota BX 25 should give you a fairly good idea of what users of it think, what problems they may have been in the past, and how these may be addressed in any Kubota BX 25 that is bought nowadays. Discussion forums are by far the best place to get genuine feedback, and most people who use them are both enthusiasts and realists.

You are most likely to get genuine and unbiased feedback from these forums. It should also be noted that if someone has had a really bad experience for any reason, either at time of sale or subsequently, they are sometimes likely to go a bit overboard in their criticism.

It is important to bring any type of objectivity to a review of a Kubota BX 25, and take any criticism on board and see what can be done to nullify it.

Kubota Dealer Guide

Finding a Kubota dealer is relatively easy, either through an Internet search or through a dealer locator on the main website. The real trick is to find a Kubota dealer who can give you what you want at the best possible price.

The Internet has changed the whole landscape of how to buy any type of Kubota tractor, generator,  mower or UTV. Most Kubota dealers will offer significant deals, both on the machinery itself, on parts and servicing, on credit and will hope to build a long-term relationship with the client.

Kubota Dealer

A Kubota dealer is a representative of the manufacturer, in this case, but is at the same time an independent business. This means that they are in competition with other Kubota dealers, both local to you and more far afield.

This means that when you have decided what type of Kubota tractor or other machinery you want to buy, you can approach several Kubota dealers independently of each other, either online or by phone, and obtain the best possible deal before even entering a showroom.

This is really significant because it puts you in a much stronger buying position than if you were simply to enter a Kubota showroom, or visit a Kubota dealership before having made any negotiating plays.

If you are willing to travel, then it is likely that you can widen your range of Kubota dealerships who are willing to negotiate with you. Some will even agree to shipping the tractor to your home location as part of a purchasing deal.

Kubota Dealer Near Me

Many people assume that it makes sense to go to the nearest Kubota dealer to where you live. When buying the tractor this is not necessarily the case, as outlined above.

It should be remembered that whereever the tractor is bought from, the servicing and maintenance and any repairs under a warranty can be done at the Kubota dealership nearest where you live.

They will be more than happy to establish some type of relationship with you, but as a way of obtaining business, and of building up long-term contracts.

Kubota Parts Dealer

A Kubota dealer will also be able to obtain manufacturers parts, which they should use a standard in any work they do on a tractor, either as part of a normal maintenance routine, or in the event of a breakdown or accident that the Kubota tractor may have been involved in.

If you wish to use aftermarket parts, this is something that should be discussed with the Kubota dealership as they may not be open to doing this. It is also worth checking if using aftermarket parts affect any warranty that may be in operation on the tractor.

Kubota Dealer Locator

Locating a dealer can be done either online, or through personal contact  or information. If done online, the easiest way is either through an Internet search, going to the main Kubota website, or through a personal recommendation on an Internet forum.

Internet forums may have died out in popularity to a degree, but they are a hugely popular and good resource for tractors.

If buying a used Kubota tractor, it is worth bearing in mind that many other dealerships are also likely to sell them, and a personal recommendation from someone on a forum may be a really good way of establishing contact.

Kubota Tractor Dealer

Any Kubota dealer is likely to offer a wide range of tractors, but may also have special offers on certain tractors that they either need to shift because of inventory problems, or which they are trying to sell because a new model is coming through.

Kubota Dealerships in certain areas of the country may also have strong links to certain types of tractor or agricultural machinery, which may well benefit you by way of advice and knowledge as to which is the best type of tractor to use in your particular situation.

Kubota Generator Dealer

Kubota make a number of generators that are widely used throughout industry and business, including hospitals and other types of care facilities. Buying or renting a generator can often be done through a number of different types of dealership, including Kubota dealers.

KUBOTA BX 2360 TOWING

A Kubota bx 2360 is one of a wide range of Kubota tractors that Kubota make that have a wide range of capabilities and different types of usage.

The type of work, and the type of land that the Kubota bx 2360 is to be used for very quite widely.

However there are a number of safety precautions that can be taken that can significantly enhance the safety of the K.ubota bx 2360.

Much of the safety operation concerning a Kubota bx 2360 is based on real-life experience concerning accidents and occurrences with tractors generally and an understanding of what the main risks are when using a Kubota bx 2360.

It is important for the operator of a Kubota bx 2360 to familiarise themselves with the layout of the control panel and instrument panel. This is true whether they have used this make and model of Kubota bx 2360 tractor or whether or not they are new to it. This more than anything is an issue about confidence.

Kubota BX 2360

However experienced the operator of a Kubota bx 2360 is, it is important that they feel comfortable when using the specific type of tractor that they are driving.

It is important for the operator of any tractor to be able to instinctively know what controls are available to them, where the controls are, and especially to do in order to stop the machine or Kubota bx 2360 tractor in the event of an emergency.

It is also important when using a Kubota bx 2360 to have an awareness of the environment outside the Kubota bx 2360 tractor. The target environment refers both to people and to materials that could effectively be discharged towards other people within any environment, or could potentially damage the operation or machinery of the Kubota bx 2360 tractor itself.

It is also important that all Kubota tractors have an ROPS fitted as standard. Virtually all new Kubota bx 2360 tractors will have one fitted, but it may be that some older models do not.

If any reason you have a Kubota bx 2360 that does not have an ROPS fitted as standard then make sure that you have your tractor modified by a valid Kubota bx 2360 dealer to ensure that one is fitted. It is probably, along with having a seatbelt fitted to the tractor, the most important piece of safety advice that can be given.

The other important piece of safety advice when operating or driving a Kubota bx 2360 tractor is to be very cautious when using the tractor on uneven ground especially on slopes.

There is a real danger that is often not fully appreciated when using a tractor, of the Kubota bx 2360 tractor tilting over backwards because it is being used on uneven ground or land. It is also inadvisable to drive a Kubota bx 2360 tractor backwards for any reason.

Kubota Compact Tractors : Specs, Parts, Attachments, Reviews

Kubota make a wide range of different size tractors and agricultural machines, and have an established reputation for their tractors being known as compact tractors.

The idea of a compact tractor was in many ways symbolised by Kubota owing to their need to produce powerful but small tractors for use in Japan, where Kubota originated as a company.

Kubota compact tractors can refer to their series of Kubota B tractors, Kubota BX tractors.

There are a number of important safety protocols to observe when operating any of the range of Kubota compact tractors, to do with the operation of the Kubota compact tractor itself as well as the awareness and behaviour of the operative of the tractor as well.

When operating a Kubota it is important to read the operator’s manual and the instructions concerning any attachments that might be used or fitted to Kubota compact tractor.

Kubota Compact Tractors

The operative of any Kubota compact tractor should make sure that their clothing is appropriate when driving or operating tractor. This is primarily that they should wear clothing that is well fitted and belted, such as a boiler suit or similar apparel.

The operative of a Kubota compact tractor should avoid wearing any loose clothing or ill fitting clothing. The reason for this is very simple.

Any operative of a Kubota compact tractor that is wearing inappropriate clothing could get it caught in the machinery of the Kubota compact tractor and risked serious or even fatal damage to themselves as an individual as well as potentially damaging the operation of the Kubota compact tractor unit they manage to avoid damaging themselves.

When operating a Kubota compact tractor it is also important to recognise the safety of the environment where the Kubota compact tractor is to be used.

This primarily means making sure that there are no children or pets or other animals in the vicinity at all. Children especially, can be very inquisitive, and there are a number of reported accidents occurring where children have simply wandered into the vicinity where a tractor is being used, and the operator has failed to see them and subsequently injured the children or other people.

It is also important when using a Kubota compact tractor to make sure that the land that the Kubota compact tractor is to be used on is as clear as possible from any type of rubbish or debris could injure a passerby, or cause damage to the Kubota compact tractor itself.

This is not always possible, but the ground should be cleared of things that can be seen such as wires, rocks, bottles, cans etc.

Kubota Backhoe : Parts, Attachments, Prices

Kubota backhoe

A backhoe on a Kubota tractor refers to what is essentially a digging arm that is used for a variety of different types of excavation work. The Kubota range of backhoe tractors are referred to as their TLB range, which stands for tractor loader backhoe.

This can include the Kubota B26, the Kubota L47 and the Kubota M62

A backhoe would normally be associated with an excavator, although Kubota had engineered a range of highly efficient tractors that can also carry a wide range of different types of backhoe and do different types of excavation work.

The backhoe on a Kubota tractor is known as a curved backhoe boom and is specifically designed to help avoid certain large obstacles such as rocks went digging with the boom. It is also designed to allow ease of manoeuvrability when placing the contents of the bucket in the center of a truck bed.

Kubota backhoe – design

A Kubota backhoe has been designed to specifically protect and display the various hydraulic hoses connected from the tractor through the arm. The design is intended to keep the various houses is safe and clear of other obstacles as possible.

Also they are much clearer to see thereby making it easier to see if there are any problems or they need repairing anyway.

The Kubota backhoe hydraulic cylinders are chrome plated, the primary advantage of this being that they are less prone to rust.

This can be a major issue for all types of agricultural equipment, especially on a Kubota TLB where the nature of the work means it is likely to be done in all weathers and in all types of terrain.

Kubota Backhoe – features

A Kubota TLB has what is known as a 20.3 angle of departure, which effectively means that the TLB backhoe stays relatively clear of the ground all the time.

This is really important from a practical point of view, because it allows easy or easier manoeuvrability from the backhoe and bucket to various trailers, and also when moving the TLB and its backhoe from one job to another.

One of the best features of a Kubota TLB tractor is that it has a reversible seat. When doing work of this nature a reversible seat is absolutely crucial.

It allows the operative of the TLB backhoe tractor to physically manoeuvre themselves into such a position that they have total visibility and control over the work they are doing with the backhoe.

The Kubota range of TLB’s will also include an important range of stabiliser lifting capacity.

This is a really important feature of increasing balance and making sure that the TLB is as stable as it is possible to be. Given the nature of excavation work and the nature of the type of terrain that a TLB be is likely to be used on this is very important.

Kubota backhoe – attachment

People sometimes think of attachments almost as optional extras. In a sense they are, but with a Kubota backhoe, this can be a slightly misleading impression.

The backhoe is an integral part of any tractor, and its design and usage is carefully linked to the overall design, maintenance and functioning of the tractor itself.

A backhoe will have very specific capabilities, including a specific weight, a transport height, a digging depth, a leading height, a bucket rotation, a bucket force and a dipperstick force.

Kubota backhoe price

If buying a backhoe as a separate attachment, it is important to make sure that it isn’t the right hitch, as some can be three-point and some can be four point.

It is also worth checking the size of the bucket that is wanted. Some packets can be 8 inch, some 10 inch, some 12 inch with some going up to 38 inch.

Prices for a backhoe can range from US dollars 5000 up to  US$14/15 000.

The price of a bucket can range from about this dollars 600 for a 10 inch bucket through to US$1 500 for a 38 inch bucket.

If buying online,  make sure that shipping costs are included in whatever price is quoted, avoid these can add a significant amount to the overall paid.

Kubota backhoe craigslist

Many people look to buy a variety of  kubota attachments including a backhoe on craigslist. In part, this is because it is very easy to use, and in part because it is easier to see what is available to buy on a geographical basis.

This can make transportation and cost of transportation of items a real deciding factor.

The only caution against craigslist is that it is an open marketplace, and there is no guarantee about the seller or the condition of the attachment being brought.

It can sometimes be a better deal to buy through an authorised dealer or online site like Tractorhouse, which have a reputable following, many of which include free shipping in all their prices.

Kubota BX 1860

The Kubota BX 1860 is one of a series of tractors that Kubota make that they  assign to their category of rural lifestyle.

Diesel engines are meant to be more powerful on the whole, and one advantage is that they don’t prove require that the fuel be replaced after long-term storage.

This can be particularly useful with certain types of tractors which are only used at certain times of the year.

All the Kubota BX tractors are featured with four-wheel-drive.

Another feature of the Kubota BX 1860 is that it has the radiator positioned in the middle of tractor rather than at the front. This means that the hotair is pushed towards the front of the machine/tractor rather than remain in the middle. This means that the operator area of the Remains much cooler and also there is less chance of the engine overheating.
